Lacing a mitten, painting, coloring, gluing, cutting
 
Perception
Same and different, self portraits, puzzles, patterning sorting
 
Gross Motor – Movement activities, ride bikes, beanie baby bean bag activities
 
Sensory Experiences – Sand table, activities using five senses that coordinate with the body part theme
 
Pre-math
Calendar activities, shamrock shape, sorting small, medium and large, continue to work on number recognition
 
Snack
Pineapple tidbits, bananas, yellow corn puffs, animal crackers, lemon yogurt, fruit snacks, pudding, yellow delicious apples
 
Self-Help
Jackets on and off, sneakers taking off and putting back on, proper hand washing

Language and Vocabulary
Introduce addresses; discuss different types of homes including single-family homes, an apartment building, a mobile home, houseboat, and a farm house.
Valentine’s Day and Dental Hygiene month; discuss all parts of the mouth, teeth for smiling, teeth for eating, teeth for talking and healthy teeth.
Colors of the month – RED & PINK    Shape – HEART
Directional and Positional Concepts – next to, front/behind, high/low
 
Fine Motor - Coloring within thick lines, naming tracing, straight line cutting, gluing, glitter, painting, play dough cookie cutter shapes
 
Perception - Giant floor puzzle, wood puzzles, opposites, heart matching
 
Gross Motor - Simon Says, Up High, Down Low, Shape pick up around the room, Monkey walk, Frog jump
 
Sensory Experiences - Sand table, exploration with dried beans in large tub, body massagers at rest time
 
Pre-math - Bean bag toss - using a heart shape with a number on it, (1-7) children will identify the number the bean bag lands on top of
-Pass the bean bag - the children will count as they pass the bean bag and identify the number they are (1-7) when the bean bag comes around to them
 
Snack - Strawberries, bananas, red & pink yogurt, strawberry applesauce, make and eat pudding, frost pink and decorate heart cookies
 
Self-Help - Take off and put on outerwear jackets, boots, hats
